LinkedIn is a social network oriented to professionals from a wide range of professions, companies, and businesses. This platform is designed to network with other professionals, and promote your brand.

Every company should be present on LinkedIn with their own page that must be active and carefully designed. But once you have this, how do you know that your strategy works?

Thanks to LinkedIn analytics, you can see how you can improve your profile and content, to best reflect your personal brand, or company page.

Most Important LinkedIn Analytics

Luckily, LinkedIn has native analytics that make is easy to view your content’s performance directly on the network.

NOTE: These analytics are available to all Page admins.

There are several metrics or sections that you should pay attention to on LinkedIn in order to create a great strategy and know how your page is performing…

Visitors

Under the visitors tab, you will see data of how many users are viewing your page. You can filter by page views, unique visitors, and even choose specific pages if desired.

In this same section, you can also view visitor demographics, which you can view the top visitors based on these factors:

  • Job function
  • Company size
  • Industry
  • Location
  • Seniority

Content

Inside the content tab, you can see several metrics about your LinkedIn posts analytics:

  • Impressions: Number of times that the publications have been seen.
  • Clicks: Number of clicks on your LinkedIn content.
  • Interactions: Number of times that your users make a comment, share or recommend your publications.
  • Reactions: Number of reactions left on your posts.
  • Comments: Number of comments left on your content.

You have the option to export this data, if you want to view this data in one document, or send to clients or coworkers.

Under this data, you will also see a list of your most recent content, and see the same metrics as above, for each specific post. You can also view the engagement rate for each post.

Followers

In this section, you will know the total number of LinkedIn members that follow your company page and also, you will have access to some demographic data.

These demographic categories are the same as above, which include:

  • Location
  • Job function
  • Seniority
  • Industry
  • Company size
