When is The Best Time to Post on TikTok?

28 November 2023

As creators, marketers, and social media managers, we are always trying to find the ideal times for posting, when more followers are active. However, this data is difficult to obtain manually and isn’t always accurate.

Thankfully there are two different tools you can use, to find the best time to post on TikTok for your specific audience.

Best Time to Post on TikTok in 2023

What are these tools? TikTok Analytics and Metricool.

Both of these tools track when more of your followers are online, so you can view details about your follower’s activity, and see peak hours.

The best time to post on TikTok today:

After analyzing 1,907,846 videos in our 2023 TikTok Study we found the best time to post on TikTok.

It is at 8pm everyday of the week, except Saturdays which show that the best time is 6pm.

How To Find Your Best Times for TikTok Using Metricool

Although TikTok has great analytics and creator tools, however at Metricool finding the best times to post goes a little more in-depth.

The downside of checking the best times from TikTok is that you don’t know the percentage of users connected at any specific time, and it doesn’t show any data past the current date. The solution? Metricool.

➡️ Discover when is your best time to post on TikTok ⬅️

To access Metricool’s Best Times feature:

  • Log in to your Metricool account and connect to TikTok (if you haven’t done so already).
  • Click on Planning in the top menu.
  • Go to Best Times at the top right
  • Click on the drop-down and select TikTok.
  • Voilà! The calendar shows the best times to post on TikTok: the darker hue, the better the time to post, and the lighter, the worse.

Remember that you can enable the option to see the percentage of active users to see the info more in detail. Click on the drop-down menu to toggle on this option.

We also have more TikTok analytics at Metricool, video views, such as impression sources, demographic information, average watch time, and more!

💡 The best hours in Metricool are only available for TikTok business accounts.

How the “Best Times” Feature Works

Do you want to know how these best times are calculated?

It’s simple, there’s no catch. Metricool offers you the information with the best hours based on your active followers activity over the past week. This offers a calculated estimate of when majority of your followers will be online, so you can better catch them to see your post.

Does Post Time Matter on TikTok?

Yes! It helps to optimize the timing when you share your videos but remember that TikTok’s algorithm works differently than other social media platforms. One video can go viral days after it is published. Posting your content when your followers are online is only an initial push to help you reach your goals.

Make the most of this feature, follow the trends, be consistent, and interact with your community and other users. In other words, keep your account active with hard work, and the results will come.

Remember to use all these features to keep growing on TikTok with Metricool’s help:
