Pinterest Unveils New Ad Tools: Creative Options
Two days ago, Pinterest held their annual event known as “Pinterest Presents” where they get a chance to share Pinterest news, straight from company leaders and in-house innovators.
Pinterest’s New Ad Tools
The two biggest updates that were announced were some new Ad tools and creative options. The first new feature is the “Premiere Spotlight” ad units are available in more places in the app. Premiere Spotlight ads get prominent top feed placement. Another ad update is regarding Showcase ads. They will now appear as large tiles within the feed. This makes for much more attention-grabbing content.
Two brand new ads that were launched, are “Showcase” and “Quiz” ads. These two ads were created to boost the engagement side of Pinterest. The showcase ads will prompt the user to swipe through the ads to receive more information about the product in the ad. And the quiz ads will be exactly how it sounds. The ad will prompt users to answer questions about the product.
Pinterest’s New Creative Options
They also launched new creative options as well. The first one has to do with enabling businesses to add their Pin link and select the prompts that match their need, and Creative Studio will then generate a selection of custom background images.
The next creative option that is being added is a new Collage feature. Users will be able to cut out objects from images and add them to other images. Basically giving users to create a pin with all kinds of cutouts. For example, seeing if a lamp you like would look good with the colors you choose.
